Hold on, all of you! The sixth and final season of The extent will arrive in just a few short months, and Amazon has released a teaser as part of its New York Comic Con 2021 panel for good measure.

Here are the details you screamed for, Screaming Firehawks: this season, The extent will be a weekly drop on Amazon Prime, starting December 10 and ending on January 14. There is no frenzy unless you wait for the end, but why would you wait? Earth is still a wreck, the Rocinante is ready for battle, this damn protomolecule looks like it’s not over with us just yet – and if you thought the bad guy Marco inaros would soften afterwards the events of season five? Nope! He is baaaack.

Here’s the description Amazon provided on what to expect: “The sixth and final season of The extent resumes with the warring solar system, as Marco Inaros and his Free Navy continue to launch devastating asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars. As the tensions of war and shared losses threaten to tear the Rocinante’s crew apart, Chrisjen Avasarala makes a bold move and sends former Martian Bobbie Draper on a secret mission that could turn the tide of the conflict. Meanwhile, in the Belt, Drummer and what remains of his family are on the run after betraying Marco. And on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power begins to rise.

The extent stars Steven strait (James Holden), Dominique Benne (Naomi Nagata), Wes chatham (Amos Burton), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Chrisjen Avasarala), Cara Gee (Camina Drummer), Frankie Adams (Bobbie Draper), Keon Alexander (Marco Inaros), Nadine Nicole (Clarissa Mao) and Jasai Chase Owens (Filip Inaros). It is based on the science fiction novels of James SA Corey (the shared pen name for writers Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, who are executive producers of the series) and is directed by Naren Shankar.
