Hideo Kojima recently spoke about Norman Reedus and Geoff Keighley at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Grounding of death finally, and one of the interesting details to draw from it is that, according to Kojima, Grounding of death will bring something new to the genre of the open world. Unfortunately, Kojima did not disclose details about how Grounding of death I will do it, but this is consistent with the reports and critics of the game who claimed that it worked with revolutionary concepts.
During the panel, Kojima also noted that it was difficult to tell a story in an open world game because one had to find a difficult balance between the freedom of the player – the freedom to go do what you want – with the plot of the game. According to Kojima, in the game, players will have to go in certain directions, in some places, to continue the story, but Kojima also wants players to have the feeling to make the choice of doing it rather than feeling like they were being pushed, pulled and nudged.
Elsewhere in the panel, Norman Reedus said the players would cry during the match, which is apparently very emotional. Meanwhile, Kojima teased that we would see more exclusivity in the next two months.
Grounding of death is under development for PS4, and maybe for PS5 too. At the time of publication, no publication date or even publication window has been announced. Regarding the rumored PC port, Sony has not said anything about it yet.
