The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro are still fairly new, but today the first information about the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, expected to arrive later this year, has been released. However, take the details with a high dose of skepticism as they could be wrong.

Citing industry sources, the report (via GSMArena) suggests that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro drops the 6.4-inch screen found on last year's Mate 20 Pro in favor of a larger 6.71-inch OLED panel manufactured by BOE. Once again, the on-screen fingerprint scanner will be integrated, although it is unclear whether this optical sensor will become an ultrasonic sensor and will likely retain the curved edges.

Accompanying the updated front panel seems to be a refreshed back. Like the current flagship of the Mate 20, the Mate 30 Pro should feature a large square-shaped camera module, but this time there should be four individual sensors that match the features of the Huawei P30 Pro – primary, super large angle, telephoto and flight time. In addition, the LED flash should now be placed in the center of the installation.

Regarding the internal aspect of the flagship product, the next-generation Kirin 985, coupled with a custom 5G modem, seems extremely likely at this stage. Nevertheless, it would seem that a less expensive 4G LTE model is also on the way. The upgraded chip will apparently be accompanied by a 4,200 mAh battery and the new Huawei 55W SuperCharge technology.

As the summer months approach, more concrete information should begin to surface about the Huawei Mate 30 lineup before its scheduled launch in October. In the meantime, as mentioned above, please take this information with a large pinch of salt.
