– A Chicago suburban company is recalling sacks of flour because it could be contaminated with E. coli. Up to now, 17 people have fallen ill.

Baker's five-pound bags of all-purpose flour were sold at Aldi stores in 11 states: Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia, Batavia, based in Ill. Said in a press release. The bags have a UPC code of 041498130404.

The CDC said 17 people in eight states fell ill. Three had to be hospitalized. Sickness cases began in December and continued until April. The victims are between 7 and 86 years old.

Some of the victims ate raw dough or dough, which led the CDC to remind the public of the dangers of eating raw dough.
