Angelo Russell, a former basketball player from the Ohio State, received a quote on Wednesday after being accused of hiding marijuana in an iced tea box while he was passing through. LaGuardia Airport in New York.

A routine search of his luggage revealed a can of iced Arizona tea in a bag that Russell had recorded. Further inspection of the modified can revealed a hidden compartment where marijuana was found.
Russell played for Ohio State during the 2014-15 season, winning first overall All-Big Ten and Big Ten honors as a freshman of the year.
The Nets said Thursday that they were aware of the situation and had gathered additional information. Russell did not publicly comment on the situation.
The quote received by Russell is punishable under the New York law with a fine of $ 100.
