Former quarterback Maryland Kasim Hill was transferred to Tennessee, a spokesman for volunteers told ESPN Thursday.
Hill, who started 10 games for Maryland in 2018 before suffering his second ACL tear in as many seasons, will be out of the 2019 season. He will have at least two eligibility seasons and possibly three. Hill tore the left knee ACL in 2018 after he tore the right knee ACL in the third game of the 2017 season, a Terrapins win in Texas.
ESPN 300 rookie in the 2017 class, Hill got 1313 yards with 11 touchdowns and four interceptions for Maryland. The Washington, DC-based player joins the Tennessee quarterback group, which includes new starter Jarrett Guarantano, a junior, and first-year freshman JT Shrout and rookie Brian Maurer.
