Fans of the TV series "NCIS" should not expect to see Pauley Perrette return to her role as forensic scientist Abby Sciuto.

In a series of shelling on social media this week, the actress accused former costar Mark Harmon of physically assaulting her on the set of the hit CBS series, reported by the film New York Post.

"No, I'm not coming back!" Tweeted Perrette. "ALREADY (please stop asking?)"

She went on to say that she was "terrified of Harmon and his attack on me," adding that she was still suffering from the nightmares of the incident.

Instead of fans turning to "NCIS" to see her on the small screen, Perrette took the opportunity to plug her new series.

"I have a new show SAFE AND HAPPY!" She wrote. "You'll love it! #HappyPlace Love y'all!"

She followed the original post and one of them provided a more detailed account of her allegations against Harmon.

Perrette, a regular in the series, made headlines last year by announcing her departure from the series.

At that time, she tweeted that she had been attacked "several times" and had tried to prevent similar abuses from other members of the cast.

"Try to stay calm," she wrote last year. "He did it."

CBS responded to these accusations by writing that Perrette had drawn the network's attention to a "workplace concern".

"We took the case seriously and worked with it to find a solution," the statement said. "We are committed to creating a safe working environment for all of our shows."

According to the latest reports available, Harmon has not responded to the latest charges against him.
