Marvel Studios will no longer participate creatively in the future Spider Man movies, it has been reported.
Deadline claims that Sony and The Walt Disney Company have failed to reach an agreement on financial control and that the former studio has regained control of the franchise.
Two movies featuring Tom Holland and directed by Jon Watts (who was behind Back home and Far from home) would be in the works, but Kevin Feige and MCU officials will no longer be part of it.
Disney is no longer involved and Sony is looking to develop its shared universe of Spider-Man characters that it owns following the success of Venom, it seems that Spidey's future in the Marvel film universe is in question.
