Operators around the world are putting the infrastructure in place to deploy a faster, more widespread wireless network. Whereas previous rumors put the Release of the Galaxy S10 5G on April 5, this could be for the launch of the phone in South Korea. A date of May 16, however, would still work in the second quarter that was confirmed for Verizon in February. In addition, the carrier deployed its 5G network today in parts of Chicago and Minneapolis. Since neither company has issued an official statement and has not responded immediately to a request for comment, we can take this date with a grain of salt.

After launching on Verizon, the Galaxy S10 5G will head to AT & T, Sprint and T-Mobile. The phone will have a 6.7-inch screen, four rear-facing cameras, the Snapdragon 855 chipset and a single 10-megapixel front-facing camera with depth mapping.
