The New York Giants have concluded (perhaps?) An avalanche of independent players Thursday night by signing a one year contract with linebacker Markus Golden.
Even before negotiating linebacker Olivier Vernon with the Cleveland Browns under a contract with Odell Beckham Jr., the Giants were in desperate need of passers-on.
After finishing penultimate in the sacks in 2018, Golden should help propel the defense forward of the team in 2019.

Golden, Missouri stud, was named second All-SEC team in 2014 and citrus Bowl MVP in 2015, which allowed him to improve his actions before the 2015 NFL draw.
There, Golden fell from round 1, but was quickly removed in the second round (No. 58 total) by the Arizona Cardinals.
Golden, 28, had spent his entire career in Arizona before Thursday.
