The God of War documentary, Raising Kratos, announced by Sony

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the game of the year 2018 – God of War -, Sony has announced an upcoming documentary following the creation of the game.

The documentary Raising Kratos was announced in a trailer of the director of the game God of War, Cory Barlog; the Santa Monica studio team; with the actors who have portrayed the main characters of the game, such as Kratos, Atreus and Freya.

"This is just beginning the anniversary year, we are delighted to share this summit behind the curtain of Santa Monica's studio of God of War with a trailer of our upcoming film, Raising Kratos," an article on the PlayStation blog. . "This documentary feature, which will be released very soon on PlayStation YouTube, is an exploration of the tremendous work it took to change the course of the God of War franchise."

Raising Kratos is said to detail the 400 hours of footage and the three years of production needed to create what ended up being an award-winning game that transformed the show forever.

Fans were speculating on the last shot in Raising Kratos' trailer, which shows unpublished footage, leaving fans curious to know it was a sequel to God of War on PS4 .

Barlog clarified the images in a tweet shortly after the release of the trailer, noting that it was originally a teaser of the remastered version of God of War 3 for PS4, but that the time is up to put it on the disc itself.

"Oh, anyone wondering what the last picture was in the caravan, it was the original teaser trailer for GOW 2018 that we were going to hide on the remastered version of GOW 3 on PS4, but we did not have time anymore. The disk has been put on the shelf so far, "read the tweet from Barlog.

God of War was released on April 20, 2018 and has sold over 5 million copies in the first month. He has won dozens of awards, including the Game of the Year Game Awards, the BAFTA Game Awards and many publications, including IGN, as well as the award for excellence in writing games video of the Writers Guild of America.

Barlog recently confirmed that no downloadable content was planned for God of War, as he had previously told IGN that his ideas would have taken too long to create, but that more content was expected for his birthday – like what we now know as Raising Kratos.
