On the PlayStation 4 generation, it really feels like Sony’s proprietary studios have mastered the art of a trophy list. They need to be complete, but also realistic enough to give you enough incentive to win the Platinum Trophy. We were hoping this would spread to third-party studios, but it doesn’t look like Counterplay Games received the memo. The Godfall Trophy List defines boredom.
It starts out well with trinkets to defeat certain bosses, but quickly gives way to some pretty uninspired trophies. You will have to defeat 2000 enemies, kill 200 enemies of several types, inflict status ailments 100 times of different kinds and do the same for different weapon techniques. How many Polearm weapon techniques should you perform? 100. How much for long words? You got it: 100. It doesn’t make for a particularly interesting reading and doesn’t really encourage us to try to unlock the Platinum trophy. You can check out the full list on Exophase.
