The Google 10.53 application was launched late Friday night with guidance on a "Discover the Next Generation". The latest beta also reveals more work on the ambient mode and the type of information to display.

About APK InsightIn this 'APK Insight' article, we have decompiled the latest version of an app that Google has uploaded to the Play Store. When we decompile these files (called APKs, in the case of Android apps), we are able to see different lines of code in this indication of possible future features. Do not forget that Google may or may not offer these features, and our interpretation of what they are may be imperfect. We will, however, try to allow those who are about to be finished to show you what they look like in the case they are shipped. Keep this in mind. "

Pixel Settings Wizard

In early August, we turned on Google Assistant preferences in the Settings app on Pixel devices running Android 10. With the Google 10.53 app, it's now deployed in Settings> Apps & Notifications> Assistant. Since last month, the chart has been updated to display the four-color light bar.

This page contains all methods to access your Google assistant on Pixel. "Say" Hey Google "" links allow you to access the voice matching settings of the Google application, while a shortcut to Active Edge is also available. "View all settings from the "Wizard" returns users to the main preferences also hosted in the Google application.

Next-gen Discover

Discover was introduced last September at an event celebrating Google's 20th anniversary. The Google Feed name change is focused on discovery and highlighting your interests. It displays more types of content, including videos, AMP stories, and persistent articles that might be new to you.

The Google 10.53 app suggests that a "Next-gen Discover" is being developed. This "new generation" phrasing has already been used for the next version of Assistant presented at IO 2019 and starting on Pixel 4 this fall.

This new iteration will always remain a "stream", the chains designating it as a "new generation content framework". Users – presumably Googlers – are invited to "help test it".

Ambient Mode: Notifications and Detailed Weather

Our latest review of Google Assistant's ambient mode revealed a familiar home, weather, music controls, assistant suggestions and the ability to display phone notifications. The Google 10.53 application continues to work on this latest feature, while more weather information that the current temperature and conditions will be presented.

See your notifications in ambient mode.

For example, high and low temperatures will be noted, as well as the risk of precipitation. Forecasts for tomorrow could also be displayed with ambient mode coupled to the Web for more detailed results.

Thanks to JEB Decompiler, which benefit some disassembling of APK Insight.
