The repetition of the same words creates a writing below average, which is why most authors use synonyms to diversify the vocabulary used. Although writing is usually done on computers, it often happens on our cell phones. Finding synonyms must be as simple as working on your laptop. Fortunately, the Grammarly keyboard can now suggest analog words as you type. Your messages are more remarkable than ever.
In addition to correcting your spelling and grammar, the application can now improve your vocabulary by automatically recommending substitutes when typing. The feature is subtle because it will only start after typing a word and pausing for a short time. As you can see in the screenshot below, suggestions for automatic correction give way to potential synonyms for the word you just typed. You can also tap another word in the sentence to view the recommended substitutes.
The feature has already been deployed in the latest versions of Android and iOS released today. To turn it on or off, go to the Grammarly settings and turn on Synonyms. That's all.
The feature seems pretty handy, but it's probably not where I need it the most – I'd like Apple to do it with the touch bar suggestions. It could still be a fun way to learn new words, improve your vocabulary and, hopefully, reduce the number of "h u u 2 days"messages that I receive sometimes.
Grammarly's Mobile Synonyms help you find the perfect word on the goWriting on your phone often means writing on the go. It means typing quickly, perhaps doing something else at the same time, but that does not necessarily mean a neglected writing. You may already know that Grammarly's mobile keyboard makes it easy to write high-quality text without errors, even when you're traveling. Today, we are improving the experience and introducing something new. . . and fresh, and different, and distinctive, and noticeable.
Synonyms arrive at the Grammarly keyboard!
The next time you write with the grammar keyboard, stop, no, do not stop. . . stop? No, pause! This is the word we are looking for – wait a moment to see the list of synonyms for the word you just typed. Several options for alternative words will appear at the top of your keyboard. If you want to see synonyms for a word you have already entered, simply move your cursor and the suggestions will change accordingly. It's a great (and practical) way to diversify your vocabulary and even discover new words. After all, sometimes a few well-chosen words can turn a bland message into an exciting message.
To enable and disable the Grammarly keyboard synonym function, open the Grammarly companion app on your phone. Go to Grammar Settings and press the switch next to Synonyms.
We think it's great. Awesome? Grandiose? No, we think it's beautiful and we hope you too. One caveat though: browsing these synonyms can be extremely fascinating and captivating. Make sure you do not forget to send this text!
