The GTA 6 update is bad news for PS4 and Xbox One Grand Theft Auto fans | Game | Entertainment

A new exciting revelation this week that can be linked to the possible outlets of GTA 6 for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game not appearing on PS4 and Xbox One.

A rumor circulates in 2019 that GTA 6 would be launched exclusively on new generation hardware.

This would mean that the next Grand Theft Auto game will be developed for the likes of PS5, Xbox Scarlett, PC and Google Stadia.

Although Rockstar Games does not make any official announcement on the subject, it is impossible to exclude an output on PS4 and Xbox One.

Take-Two Interactive, parent company, has many good reasons to do so, especially considering the massive installation base of the console.

But many industry analysts believe that the next game Grand Theft Auto will be launched in a few years and will not be delayed by the current specifications.

However, a recent interview with Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, suggests that some of their future gaming projects will look impressive.

Speaking on CNBC, Zelnick revealed that some of his games could exploit the new generation hardware impressively.

GTA 6 was not mentioned, but it's certainly a game that would benefit from exciting new graphics and gameplay.

"We have a new generation of consoles coming in, which will allow us to do things we have not done before creatively, and it's exciting," Zelnick said.

"But as I have already said, we will come to a point where you will no longer be able to tell the difference between what is created by the computer and what is real."

Borderlands was cited as an example of a game that would remain animated and would not be a game that would go to photorealism.

And that makes sense, given the history of the franchise and the dedicated fan base it has built over the years.

Strauss added that some games would benefit things like ray tracing and give the appearance of "real scenes".

One example is basketball and probably the NBA 2K series, which has proven to be a very popular game for Take-Two.

But it would be logical for Rockstar Games to want to make GTA 6 as beautiful as possible, without seeming too realistic.

So, the idea that Take-Two will not want to use this new technology to improve its next GTA game seems unlikely.

GTA 6 will include a new, improved GTA Online mode, which will no doubt be as popular as the first one.

So, with this longevity, Take-Two will want to keep its flagship games in their best light.

Zelnick recently alluded to a series of new announcements made by Take-Two companies in the future.

These were very vague but have built a picture of the big games that we will work on and that will become very popular with their fans.

At a recent results meeting, he said, "We want to build on this good start by offering a wide range of titles throughout the year, including Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, NBA. 2K20, Borderlands 3, WWE 2K20 and The Outer Worlds, as well as new and innovative ways for consumers to stay engaged in their favorite entertainment experiences.

"With regard to the future, Take-Two has the strongest development pipeline in its history, including suites from our largest franchises and exciting new intellectual property. We are extremely well positioned to take advantage of the positive trends in our industry and to generate significant growth and margin growth over the long term.

But until Rockstar Games officially announces its plans for GTA 6, we are not aware of its plans for the PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
