The Hurricanes Justin Faulk come out of the penalty box and straight into all types of glory

Hurricanes defenseman Justin Faulk was hit with a 2-minute penalty at 9:51 of the second half of Wednesday's third game of the Islanders-Hurricanes series. The score is tied with one goal each. The Canes managed to kill the subsequent power play of the Islanders, which eventually ended with Curtis McElhinney 's rescue from a shot hit by Ryan Pulock. The puck slammed along the boards for the final tics of the power play, then arrived at Canes forward Warren Foegele, who lifted his head and found, well, a fade in the area goals:

That's Faulk coming out of the box to end up in a decisive pass in six seconds. We thank Foegele for his smooth pass, and also the Islanders for seemingly forgetting that a Canes player was back on the ice. As cool as Faulk's goal was, and as deflated as he was for the Islanders, they answered by an equalizer barely two minutes later.
