So……..
Here's the thing: It's now a totally untenable situation for Kellyanne Conway. (I would say it was untenable before, but that is even more untenable now.Intense in addition to untenable! Super duper unbearable!)
The boss of Kellyanne Conway, president of the United States, claims to be married to an "infernal husband" jealous of his success. Trump says about a man, Kellyanne Conway has been married for almost 20 years and with whom she has four children.
This is not the scenario of James Carville-Mary Matalin which some Trump allies like to compare the Conways. Matalin and Carville were well – established supporters – either side of the alley – before getting married. Their political quarrels have always been good and fun. And there has never been a president of the United States between them.
The Conway were both fervent Republicans and Trump supporters until George separated in June 2017 as a result of Trump's travel ban. What we have now is that the main advocate of the president and the main public critic live under the same roof and are married one to the other.
In August 2018, Kellyanne Conway told Ben Terris, of the Washington Post, her husband: "I have the impression that part of him thinks I chose Donald Trump for him." Which is ridiculous – one is my job and the other is my marriage.
Trump's decision to engage repeatedly – and publicly – with George Conway makes this line still tenuous between work and home that Kellyanne was trying to draw more and more meaningless. More and more, we feel that Kellyanne Conway lacks time before having to choose between her boss and her husband. And it's an unenviable choice to make.
