The iOS 13 concept gives the iPad the features it desperately needs

Less than 100 days ago until The WWDC 2019 and the new features of the iPad worry a lot of Apple fans.

In a new iOS 13 model, concept designer Leo Valle suggests simple but revolutionary features that would make the iPad a real substitute for Mac. Some of these features will probably not make the cut on iOS 13 this year, but even if it makes sure that changes the game.

Xcode and external displays

Bringing support for Xcode and Final Cut Pro on the iPad would make Macs almost obsolete. If developers building apps can create on an iPad rather than a Mac, this should lead to more thoughtful and complete iPad apps.

One of the most coveted features is the actual support of external displays. We want the second screen to be an independent workspace, like on a Mac. This would make the iPad more versatile and powerful. The only way to get there though would be to add a way to control two contactless screens. Which brings us to the next feature film …

Mouse support

We need the support of the Apple Mouse. Connecting a mouse to an iPad is antithetical to its original purpose, but it would open many possibilities. Do not make it the main way to interact with an iPad, just make it an option.

W3 for accessories

Apple could use its silicon manufacturing prowess to create a powerful Bluetooth W3 chip that makes it easy to pair accessories. Combining AirPods with an iPhone and iPad is so simple, why not take advantage of the experience of other accessories like the Magic Keyboard Keyboard.

Leo Vallet also suggests other changes that would also apply to the iPhone. Redrawing volume control. multitasking from the control center and dark mode are some of the cool features you can discover in its full iOS 13 build.
