NEW YORK (AP) – Martin Scorsese's epic "The Irishman" is set to make its premiere at the New York Film Festival.
The director's 209-minute opus, featuring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. He will play first for members of the press on Friday morning, and then premiere on the red carpet in the evening.
"The Irishman" is one of the biggest Netflix bets to date. Partly because of its aging-reducing effects, manufacturing costs about $ 160 million. Scorsese said the streamer was the only studio ready to finance the project.
The Irishman will open on November 1st and begin November 27th. It is the opening film of the New York Film Festival.
