A decision is expected next week.
Brown's first grievance concerning the wearing of the helmet was the subject of a hearing two weeks ago. Three days later, Brown lost.
The second grievance is much stronger than the first, mainly because the first grievance was so weak. This time, Brown essentially claims that the NFL has attempted to ban the Schutt AiR Advantage on the fly, without granting it the same one year grace period as that granted to others ( like Tom Brady) when banning their favorite helmet models in 2018..
It's a solid argument, and the referee is neutral and independent. But that still seems like a tough climb for Brown, mainly since the NFL still seems to be winning.
