"The unified command of the design incident is relieved to be able to announce that today's search and recovery efforts have found the latest missing victim," said a tweet from the sheriff's office.

DNA tests are underway to confirm the identity of seven of the 34 victims found, they added.

The 25 meter dive boat sank off the south coast of California on Labor Day following a fire that claimed the lives of 34 people on board.

Of the 39 people who were aboard the boat this weekend, only five crew members were found alive. The others, who were on the lower deck, were probably trapped when the fire blocked their escape, authorities said.

The cause of the fire of a dive boat in California remains unknown
Investigators have not determined the cause of the fire aboard the dive boat, said a law enforcement official aware of the investigation this week, noting that the boat had not even been brought to the surface.

"The boat has not been out of the water yet, but the rescue teams have been able to get ready," Lieutenant Erik Raney of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office told CNN.

Weather conditions prevented efforts to surface the boat.

The Coast Guard announced Wednesday that it has convened a four-member Marine Investigation Committee to review the loss of the small passenger vessel.
