NVIDIA quickly recognizes that the benefits are not as important at higher resolutions (where you experience bottlenecks), but you should still see improvements at 4K. Do not forget that the company also uses its latest graphics technology associated with a recent Core i9 processor. You might not get such spectacular results if your system is more modest.
However, some improvements are more universal. There is now an Ultra-Low Latency beta mode for DirectX 9 and DirectX 11 games that only submits images at rendering time, providing high responsiveness without having to reduce graphics settings or purchase new hardware. You'll see the most benefit in GPU-based games where frame rates range from 60 to 100 frames per second, but this might be vital for all reflex-sensitive titles.
Other settings? There is now a more accurate graphical scaling based on whole numbers for classic 2D and pixel art games (emulators or retro style titles, such as Hotline Miami) if you have a RTX or GTX 16 card. There is also a new free style filter, Sharpen, which is both more efficient than the current detail filter and half as demanding for your GPU. The latest driver also supports 30-bit color for NVIDIA's full range of hardware, supports the latest G-Sync monitors, and optimizes settings for more games, including Wolfenstein: young blood and Blood stain. You will probably want to install these drivers, regardless of the exact GPU you have or what you intend to play.
