A new adventure awaits you.

Nintendo has announced a sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Wild Breath at E3 2019.

In a surprise final announcement, we saw a trailer showing us a return to BotW's version of Hyrule, but with a seemingly much darker tone. The game seems to be focused on the common adventure between Link and Zelda and the awakening of a mummified character who could be the original Ganon.

No release date or gameplay was posted, but we were told that the game was in development.

There are many things to unwrap here. The True Ending to BotW saw Zelda seemingly stripped of her powers but determined to rebuild her fallen kingdom. Specifically, she and Link are heading towards the Vah Ruta, a divine beast, which has stopped working. It is possible that it is the catalyst of what happens in the future.

The new trailer shows Zelda wearing her champion costume, but with much shorter hair than this ending, which may suggest that it's been a while since the end of the match and the beginning of his adventures with Link.

We also see a photo of Hyrule Castle that seems to come off the ground and take off, which could be a reference to the end of The Legend of Zelda: Orarina of Time.

Development…
