While she was trying to buy dozens of meals for nearly 20 homeless people in a local Taco Bell, one woman said that she and all the others had been kicked out of the restaurant.

All of this took place in Louisville, Kentucky, after 44-year-old Shannon Gridley offered to pay dinner for the homeless group – inspiring a biography of the family. Eddie Murphy, who has often done the same thing as a young comedian, according to the Courier-Journal.

As soon as they arrived at the restaurant, Gridley claimed that the bathrooms were locked and an employee announced that the dining room was closed approximately when the order was placed. According to sources, Gridley protested – asking to speak to a manager – and that's when she and her guests were evicted.

Accusing the restaurant of discrimination, she tells the new local source WHAS, quote: "I do not ask for special treatment, I ask for humane treatment."

"I do not ask for special treatment, I am asking for humane treatment."

An employee stated that this place was instructed not to let the homeless enter the store and use the toilet.

Since then, Taco Bell has referred to the incident in a statement to WHAS that "the franchise organization that owns and operates this place is studying the issue and will proactively re-engage its team members on its policies."
