The Lordstown Endurance has entered beta

Lordstown Engines unveiled two of its Endurance beta trucks on Wednesday, the first of 57 beta versions it has planned as it tries to challenge the skeptics and start mass production in September.

One of them even has a good paint job.

Lordstown is trying to start production in September to become what it says is the first company to mass-produce an electric truck, though short-selling company Hindenburg Research. say it’s far from it. Lordstown Motors is also former President Trump’s favorite car maker, probably in large part because it allowed him to make a photo on on the White House lawn.

That is, knowing if you believe Lordstown will do the thing and make the car is a bit trickier than normal calculation.

Things in favor of Lordstown:

• He already has a factory in the form of the old GM factory in Lordstown.

All in all I would say the odds are still pretty long for Lordstown, as I think September will come and Lordstown will be releasing some Endurances from the factory and Lordstown will call this ‘mass production’, although for the first several months. or years, it will be more like a net.

To be successful in the long run, Lordstown is also likely to need more money than he currently has. Lordstown will also need market demand for hundreds of thousands of electric trucks, which does not really exist at the moment. However, September will be a very exciting month.
