The assassination this week of Francesco "Frankie Boy" in Cali, Staten Island, would be the first New York boss hit recorded on video.
Cali, 53, was hit Wednesday in front of his home, fueling rumors that the assassination would have occurred as part of a war between rival mob groups or a battle for control of the Gambino crime family after the release of Gene Gotti prison, the 73 brother of Gambino's former boss, John "Dapper Don" Gotti.
A police spokesman said Friday at Staten Island Advance that no one had been arrested during the shooting.

The Daily Beast presented a detailed description of the content of the video showing the murder of Cali, citing as a source a law enforcement official who had viewed the tape.
The video first shows that Cali, coming out of his home, faces a man wearing a cap and a baseball cap who had just hit the Cali SUV with a van, the media reported.
The video then shows the man who bends over, takes a license plate and hands it to Cali who takes it and walks to the back of his utility vehicle, according to the media.

Then the footage shows the man who makes a gun and shoots Cali from behind, then on other shots while Cali falls, reported the Daily Beast. These shots may have been fired to make sure Cali was dead.
The video ends with the murderer who returns quietly to his pickup and then moves away, according to the media.
Police said the killer fired 12 bullets and hit Cali six times. They also said that the accident may have been organized to attract Cali to the outside.

Police seized the video – taken by Cali's home security system – after going to court to obtain a search warrant, the Daily News reported.
A search warrant was necessary because the family of Cali refused to hand it over voluntarily.
