If you want to recreate the iconic moments of opening of Star Wars: A new hope in the form of lego, you are lucky. The toy maker revealed Thursday that the Imperial Star Destroyer, which has 4,784 pieces, will join its Ultimate Collector Series on September 18th, it will be the longest Star Wars set available at 43 inches (110 cm).
This particular vessel is Devastator, Darth Vader's personal means of transport, and features swiveling guns, a mobile radar antenna, massive engine exhausts, and cold surface detail charges. You must also build a very small Tantive IV (the Rebel Alliance ship he hunts in the movie) in order to relive this opening scene.
Beyond the ships, the set includes a pair of unique figurines – an Imperial Officer and a crew member. Both have blasters, so they are prepared for any encounter with rebel rebels (or the distribution of Friends)
When paired with its 3-inch screen stand, the model measures 17 inches (44 cm) tall and 26 inches (66 cm) wide. It will cost you $ 700 galactic (£ 650). Its 43-inch length makes it the longest Star Wars game on the market, but the 2011 3,152-piece Super Star Destroyer game was 50 inches (124 cm) longer. This was interrupted, however.
It will be released on September 18th in Lego stores and Lego site if you are a VIP member, with general availability on October 1st.
Released for the first time on September 5th at 6:00 am Eastern Time.
Updated at 9:00 am Pacific Time: Clarifies that the entire 2011 Super Star Destroyer abandoned was longer.
