The Mandalorian: fans spot ‘the man in jeans’ in the background of a clip

It’s the Game of Thrones coffee mug again.

The second season of The Mandalorian is in full swing, but things didn’t go as planned for Mando, Dune, and Carga in Episode Four, titled The Siege, which released on Friday.

The trio were facing Stormtroopers when an unexpected visitor appeared on the scene as a random guy in jeans.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed the man in the background – clad in a t-shirt and jeans – and immediately began to roast the show in good spirits.

It’s easy to miss the blooper at first as the background is quite gray and it kind of blends in, but standing in the far left corner … it’s there.

The man, who has not been identified, is likely a rogue crew member who accidentally went into the shooting – and certainly not a new (occasional) Stormtrooper uniform.

Fans reacted hilariously on social media after Friday night’s episode and quickly found the humor in the innocent mistake.

‘Mandalorian sneaks into a random dude wearing jeans and is watching the last episode in the background. Love it, ” one fan tweeted.

Another asked: ‘So is the guy in jeans coming back in the next few episodes? ”

“Guy in jeans and a gray t-shirt wearing a watch. A Storm Trooper who has just left his shift trying to avoid shooting? It happens, ”joked a third.

Several fans were quick to compare the “ guy in jeans ” to the epic Game of Thrones “ cafe ” when a disposable Starbucks mug was left in a shot – ironically also in episode four.

“ It might not be as bad as leaving a cup of coffee on a medieval high table, but there was a pretty obvious mistake in this episode, ” one person wrote, referring to the GoT misstep.

In the GoT 2019 scene, a decidedly anti-Westerosian cup sat at the table in the Great Hall of Winterfell as Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and the United Army of Warriors Wildlings, Unsullied and Dothraki rejoiced in their victory over the King of the night.

Mandalorian season three is in the works right now – although it is in the middle of season two airing and not officially lit.

Last week, part of the set, which is under construction in Manhattan Beach, California, was nearing completion.

While season three has already been written but has yet to be given the nod, production is reportedly close, Deadline recently reported.

The pre-production of Season 3 of The Mandalorian has already been going on “ for months ” and sources have told Deadline that production may begin next week or “ late November / early December. ”

However, there are also reports claiming that production will not start until spring 2021.

Deadline reported that the “ confusion ” was coming from the side of Lucasfilm operating under a thick veil of secrecy and that the closest to production start dates may in fact be for a related series.

One explanation could be rumors that another Mandalorian-related project, I hear maybe a Boba Fett miniseries, would be filmed first, starting next week, with The Mandalorian Season 3 after a one month break, ” the outlet said.

The second season of The Mandalorian debuted late last month, with star Pedro Pascal returning as the titular character.

The show follows the adventures of The Mandalorian as he searches for a safe home for the adorable but nameless character fans have dubbed ‘Baby Yoda.
