It should only take you 10 minutes, at the top
Super Mario Bros. 35 is still shipping, getting closer to its expiration date. But before that, Nintendo has a quick little event in store for us.
The challenge? Kill 3.5 million Bowsers from 11 p.m. PT on January 18 to 10.59 p.m. PT on January 25. Or more simply, just kill a Bowser to get a potential reward of 350 Platinum Points (which can be used on physical or digital goods on My Nintendo).
You can defeat your Bowser via Standard Mode or the new event; which I highly recommend because it helps find Bowser faster. I’ve hosted the event a few times, and since you start with a Fire Flower, you can take out Bowser pretty quickly if you run into one (whether at a castle level or through someone sending you a danger).
Just to make sure I ran a few classes and took out about five Bowsers in about 10 minutes. It’s easy! If you have Switch Online, you have Mario 35, so you might as well dive in, get there and (probably) enjoy the 350 turntables.
Since these events can be a bit finicky in terms of timing at times, we’ve provided the official documentation below just in case. Make a reminder to do it! This is one of the easiest ways to get platinum yet, which you can use on stuff like this.
