HBO Max, the beef Wellington of streaming services, today announced that Happy valley Star Sarah Lancashire will play celebrity chef and author Julia Child in an eight-part series about her life. Interestingly, this project has been bubbling over at HBO Max for over a year, with Joan Cusack initially chosen as Child. But whatever. We don’t expect there to be a squeaky side plot from Amy Adams blogging on Burgundy.
