The media is deliberately trying to break the economy

The hosts of Fox and friends Monday morning, accused of fellow journalists for trying to provoke a recession after a bad week on Wall Street.

The segment, which also featured Fox Business's Charles Payne, kicked off with a compilation of clips from other TV channels discussing the fall of 800 points in the stock market last Wednesday and what it could lead to.

"It's so obvious what they do!" Said Ainsley Earhardt. "They do not want him to win again and they do not like the economy to be doing well, apparently."

"I hate to say that to the extent that the media almost did it in December, and I think some people are doing it deliberately. There is no economic data to suggest that we are on the threshold of a recession, "said Payne, using Walmart's results report as an example of the current economic situation. "In the end, this seems like a deliberate attempt by many to bring this economy into recession."

They argued that the media was pushing for a recession so that President Trump would have more trouble getting re-elected in 2020.

The comments of Earhardt and Payne echo those of Martha MacCallum, a Fox News personality. On her show Thursday night, the host claimed that the personalities of MSNBC and CNN were "stunned" at the thought of a recession.
