Your Microsoft phone application is currently out of service. Application users have been unable to connect to their phone through the app due to what appears to be a backend problem.
Microsoft's service portal has started reporting issues as early as 7:00 am GMT today. This means that the Your Phone application is suffering from connection problems for almost 14 hours.
"We have identified a problem with connection issues for your phone application. Users can receive "Unable to connect" or other error banners when using the app. We are actively researching the cause of the problem and developing a problem-solving plan, "said Microsoft.
This issue comes just days after Microsoft launched its massive integration with the new Samsung Note 10, in which Your Phone is natively embedded in the device. It is unclear whether the launch request for Note 10 has led to this outage, however.
This also seems to be a background problem for the service. Therefore, at least, this has nothing to do with the application itself, because you have to wait for an update of the Microsoft application to solve the problem. So, once the servers are repaired, your phone should soon be available again. In either case, this can be a bit disappointing for new and existing users of Your Phone. We will let you know when the service will be restored, however.
