EXCLUSIVE

Ray J and Princess Love have found their beloved Boogotti … but the man who made their dog disappear has raised suspicions about his participation in the test.

We told the story … the Maltese couple disappeared earlier this month from Ray's parents while he was playing sports, and Princess offered a $ 20,000 reward for her return safely.

But, based on the surveillance video, Ray J believed Boo was recognized by a guy in his early twenties who stopped in a Dodge Charger after the dog escaped through a door on the property, caught him in the street and escaped.

Flash forward to Thursday … Sources close to Ray and Princess told us that she had been contacted by a man who claimed to believe that his neighbor had his dog. She asked him if he could get a photo as proof and he did, and of course … a stranger was holding Boogotti!

Here is where it gets strange – we are told that Princess showed the picture to a friend, who recognized the unknown … and who believed that the man who had contacted Princess had close ties with him.

Our sources say that the man told the princess that he was going to pick up the dog at the neighbor's house and bring him back as long as he would receive the $ 20,000 reward, and she agreed as long as They would have been in a safe place. The two agreed to meet on Friday in front of the local police station.

When the princess arrived, we were told that the guy was already there and handed the dog, but instead of giving him $ 20k … she confronted him about knowing the person in this picture that held Boogotti. The man would have panicked and be gone.

Our sources say that Princess saw some cops nearby, so she informed them of what had happened and they are now investigating the theft. Boogotti is an expensive puppy – $ 3,000 – so stealing makes it a crime.

We are told that Ray J and Princess are still happy to pay the reward if it turns out that the guy has really found the dog and has returned it and that it 's n' played no role in his flight, but for now, they are just happy to have their Boo back.
