The next phase of the evolution of Destiny 2, Shadowkeep, is expected this fall, which will mark the beginning of the third year of game content. The developer Bungie often marks the end of a year of content with Moments of Triumph, a series of operations to be performed in the game. The next set of Moments of Triumphs begins with today's weekly reset, July 9, which features a host of new items that you can win for Highlight your Destiny 2 prowess. Here are the rewards you can expect, although the details of what you will need to do remain unconfirmed at the moment.[[[[Update: The Moments of Triumph are now online – you can find them by going to the director's Triumphs section and looking for a new Seal added. There you will find the complete list of all Moments of Triumph, one of which points to Bad Juju. Read the full release notes for more information (RIP, 2019-2019 glitch thorick menagerie).]
Bungie detailed the upcoming publication of Moments of Triumph on his blog, where he revealed that a list of Triumphs players would have the opportunity to end during the event. "Players will be challenged to carry out triumphs spanning the entire content of the solar system, from the dream city to the EDZ," wrote Bungie. "This year will be pretty simple: complete victories in the game, unlock rewards."
These rewards range from gambling in the game to the possibility of buying exclusive material in the real world:
- One Moment of Triumph brings you a special Destiny 2 emblem.
- Five nets you a sparrow special.
- 10 will bring you a new ship.
- 15 lets you buy a Moments of Triumph t-shirt in the Bungie Shop.
- Finish all the moments will bring you back the seal and the title, which are Destiny 2's most prestigious and hardest-to-win deals.
It also seems that the Moments of Triumph will collaborate with the next timed event of Destiny 2, the Solstice of Heroes. Scheduled for July 30, the event will feature a handful of triumphs and will also offer new loot to players. Moments of Triumph runs until August 27 and ends just before the launch of Shadowkeep in September.
What we do not know for now, is what the Moments of Triumph will involve or how difficult they will be to unlock. Bungie included a list of triumphs in the blog article, but not their requirements – but many sound like triumphs that were part of the Annual Pass's annual content publications. This could mean that some players will manage to get rid of their list of triumphs, at least until the Solstice of Heroes starts.
In addition to the new Moments of Triumph this week, players will be able to win a new exotic weapon: Lumina, a handgun that heals his teammates when he kills enemies. Check out our complete Lumina guide for more details on how to unlock it.
