The mother of an unarmed black teenager who was shot by a white policeman said that the cop 's acquittal on Friday was not what I hoped for, but it did not happen. that's what I expected. "
In an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette newspaper, Michelle Kenney said she would not stop talking after the death of her son Antwon Rose II last June and that the family would continue her legal battle.
"I hope this man will never sleep at night," Kenney told The Post-Gazette. "I hope he sleeps as much as I do, which is not the case."
Former East Pittsburgh police officer, Michael Rosfeld, shot deadly on the face, while the 17-year-old man escaped from a taxi without allowed that Rosfeld had stopped after a shootout.

Rose's family lawyer, S. Lee Merritt, said Friday that he and his family would continue to seek justice for the teenager.
"It will have to be challenged in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and it will have to continue to be challenged at the federal level," Merritt told reporters, according to CNN.
Rose's family filed a lawsuit in August against Rosfeld and East Pittsburgh for violating civil rights, according to the Associated Press.
The teenager "was not armed and he did not threaten the officer nor the community, and the verdict said today that it is OK, that this is Is an acceptable behavior on the part of the police, "added Merritt.

The verdict gave rise to a "peaceful protest" in Pittsburgh, a city of Ministry of Public Security tweeted Friday night.
However, according to CBS Pittsburgh, the office of the lawyer who had defended Rosfeld, Patrick Thomassey, had been shot dead overnight. Nobody was injured, CBS reported.
After the verdict, Thomassey told reporters that Rosfeld was "a good man." He often repeated to me: "Patrick, it has nothing to do with the color of the child. I did what I trained for. "
The trial was to determine whether Rosfeld was justified in using lethal force, according to the AP. Rosfeld told the jurors that he thought Rose or another teenager in the car had pointed his gun at him. Neither was holding firearms when the officer fired at Rose, but two firearms were later found in the vehicle.
Zaijuan Hester, 18, who was in the car with Rose before he was killed, pleaded guilty last week to charges related to the driving shootout.
The murder of Rose sparked protests throughout the city at the time, and he is one of many unarmed black teenagers and men killed by white police in high-profile cases.
In his interview with The Post-Gazette, Kenney explained how his son was unarmed and killed, but a heavily armed white shooter, who killed 11 people at the Synagogue of the Tree of Life last year , survived during his interactions with the police.
"I cried for Antwon, I never cry about Michael Rosfeld," she said.
