ATLANTA (AP) – A Georgia woman suspected of fatally killing her son and daughter before killing herself had boasted about her children on social media shortly before the bodies were discovered.
Marsha Edwards wrote on Instagram that she "could not ask for better kids", just hours before she was found dead Wednesday in her townhouse located in a posh neighborhood near Atlanta. local news agencies reported. The police also found the bodies of Christopher Edwards II, 24, and Erin Edwards, 20.
Edwards' ex-husband and father of children is Dr. Christopher Edwards, a prominent surgeon in Atlanta, who sits on the board of trustees of the Morehouse School of Medicine and the Atlanta Housing Authority, according to the reports. Family spokesman Jeff Dickerson said the family was in shock.

Christopher Edwards II was the digital content manager for the Atlanta Film and Entertainment Office since March 2018, the city announced.
Marsha Edwards, 58, and her two children were members of the National Association of Black Journalists, who issued a statement in which they expressed their condolences.
The mayor of Atlanta, Keisha Lance Bottoms, issued a joint statement with her husband.
"Derek and I are joining the Greater Atlanta community to mourn the loss of three members of the beloved Edwards family," Bottoms said. "Chris and Erin were gorgeous, dynamic and brilliant young adults whom we had the pleasure of knowing all their lives."
