We saw the Moto E6 Plus leak last week and, as expected, the device became official at IFA. Motorola's latest smartphone probably has the same name as the new Moto E6, but it's a very different phone. The screen is bigger, there are more cameras and the Snapdragon chip is exchanged for MediaTek.

The Moto E6 Plus has a 6.1-inch display, a significant increase over the 5.5-inch LCD of the standard E6. It is also a larger "Max Vision" display with a notch at the top, which may or may not excite buyers. At the rear, the Moto E6 Plus is the first E-Series phone to feature a dual camera system. Do not expect an optical zoom or wide angle; It consists of a 13 MP main shooter and a 2 MP depth sensor. The 3000 mAh battery has the same capacity as the smaller E6, but it is still removable.

The standard E6 has a Snapdragon 450, but the E6 Plus goes to a MediaTek P22. It is an octa-core SoC clocked at 2 GHz. This is a cheaper part that probably helps keep prices down, and the E6 Plus manages to avoid a price increase. It will sell for around € 139 when it goes on sale today. Customers from Latin America can get it now, and the launch in Europe and Asia is scheduled for this month. No US launch is planned at the moment.
