The Motorola Edge 20 Pro is missing something

The abundance of recent leaks suggests that Motorola is about to announce a new phone or two or three. At the end of last week we took a look at the Motorola Edge 20, and today we see a device called the Motorola Edge 20 Pro.

The images here were published by @evleaks, where he also referred to the device by its codename “Sierra”. This device, as you’ve probably guessed by the “Pro” added to the end of its name, should be the top end of Edge 20 devices.

Previous leaks suggested that this Motorola Edge 20 Pro will sport a Snapdragon 870 chipset, up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, a 6.67 inch 120 Hz FHD display, a 4,500 mAh battery, a fingerprints under the screen and a triple rear camera with the 108 MP sensor which you can see here.

The device looks good and should have the right specs to perform well, knowing Motorola’s approach to a light and lean Android. But it’s weird that we call these devices “Edge” since, well, they don’t have edge attach. Last year’s introduction to the Edge series brought some spectacular edge displays which I’m not sure were much appreciated, so it’s not me complaining that neither this 20 Pro nor the Edge. Ordinary 20 don’t have edge display, it’s just that the name matches design. Now I guess we’re just going with “Edge” because?

Overall, these two Edge 20 devices look like the typical smartphone you’ll find in any number of gamers in 2020 or 2021. The renderings here also manage to give off a Motorola Edge + vibe, which I actually found. an elegant device despite its bizarre display. Hopefully Motorola will price them correctly if they come to the US.

Does anyone like?
