A married couple wanted for murder in Arizona and on the run for three weeks after allegedly mastering Utah's guards during their extradition, was captured on Wednesday, authorities said.
Blane Barksdale, 56, and Susan Barksdale, 59, were arrested and detained without incident, the US Marshals service said. The Navajo County sheriff's office said in a Facebook post that he had contributed to the arrests but did not say where the couple was found.
The two agencies plan to hold a joint press conference in Phoenix on Thursday at 11 am to provide additional details on the couple's capture, reported Tucson's KOLD-TV.

The couple was transported from Henrietta, N.Y., to Pima County, Arizona, on August 26, after "controlling two security guards" in Blanding, Utah, using an unspecified "medical center".
They reportedly abducted both guards and the third inmate while driving a private jail transport vehicle to Vernon, Arizona, where they allegedly obtained an acquaintance's Red GMC Sierra pickup, reported KOLD-TV. . They then abandoned the van with the three interlocked on the inside and somehow escaped a large manhunt conducted by several agencies, including the FBI, the report said.
Authorities previously said they believed the couple were getting help – from motorcycle gangs or white supremacist groups – to escape capture. On Monday, Blane Barksdale was placed on the list of 15 most wanted by the US Marshals Service, and the reward for the information leading to his arrest reached $ 25,000, reported The Arizona Republic.
