GREENBELT, Md. – A Maryland woman allegedly shot dead after leaving her office Friday was reportedly married to two men, one of whom was a known drug trafficker, according to the WCAU.
According to the police, a man with a handgun approached Bettie Jenifer, 44, while she was heading to her car. The man fired several shots, including at least one shot in Jenifer's head, before taking off in a vehicle.
According to the WCAU, police confirmed Saturday that Jenifer was married to Chris Attoh, a well-known TV personality in Ghana. On Sunday, police said Jenifer was simultaneously married to Kendrick Jenifer, who is currently serving a 20-year jail sentence for introducing large quantities of cocaine into Baltimore.
Police told the WCAU that the shots were targeted, but they did not reveal any suspects or motives.
