Pokemon fans have been trying to define the identity of a brand new Pocket Monster for Sword and Shield.
Nintendo, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company teased the appearance of a new Pokémon for the next Nintendo Switch release.
The official game website contains a list of all new Pokemon announced for Sword and Shield.
This includes starting Pokémon such as Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble, as well as the Legendary Zacian and Zamazenta titles.
But there is also a list for a strange piquant Pokemon that can be seen below.
A small version of the image appears for the first time when you load the Sword and Shield website. The image moves initially when you hover over it, but finally stays long enough to click on it.
Once you have clicked on the image, you are redirected to a page containing a quilted image and a written text.
"Only [redacted] who have survived many battles can reach this [redacted], "the list reads." When this Pokemon [redacted] [redacted]he will withdraw from the fight. "
It goes without saying that some Pokemon fans think they have solved the mystery of the new Pocket Monster.
The most popular fan theory is that the new Pokemon will be an evolved version of Farfetch & # 39; d.
Named Sirfetch'd, the Pokemon would have a leak that would also serve as a lancer. Once it breaks, Sirfetch'd is apparently going to withdraw from the battle.
It's a fun theory, and we should not wait very long for confirmation.
Indeed, Pokemon Sword and Shield went on sale November 15, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
The game contains many new features and a new generation of Pokemon, not to mention a brand new location based around the UK.
One of the new features is called Dynamaxing, which turns Pocket Monsters into huge beasts with more powerful special moves.
The Nintendo Switch game will also have more customization options for the trainer, including the ability to change hairstyles and apply makeup.
Players will also be able to set up camps as they explore the Galar region and even prepare a selection of curry dishes.
