The troubles persist within the National Rifle Association (NRA) after the far-right political organization was surprised to spend $ 274,695.03 US in a high-end fashion boutique in clothing for CEO Wayne LaPierre.

A leaked note from the chief financial officer of the NRA, William Winkler, asks LaPierre for "immediate attention".

"During the recent audit round, particularly with FRA, related party transactions were discussed," wrote Winkler. "During these discussions, we realized that we needed to adapt your wardrobe and that you had to provide, in particular, purchases at the Zegna store in Beverly Hills, California."

"Because of the substantial nature of the total ($ 274,695.03), we should address these issues immediately," says the April 22 memo.

An attachment contained a detailed list covering the period from April 2004 to September 2015.

The smallest purchase was made for $ 205 in 2014 and the largest for $ 39,435 in 2004. The list includes nine entries over $ 10,000.
