The company is only testing the functionality of its iOS app to date and pointed out that there was no guarantee that collections would be widely available. They "may or may not become permanent features," said a spokesperson TechCrunch. The Netflix disk service already has a similar collections feature, although it clearly does not have the instant gratification of streaming.

It seems however that it will be only a matter of time before the collections are more widely available. As discovered by Jeff Higgins, initial discoverer, the collections are presented as an "easy way" to find the shows you want. It's all too common to be overwhelmed by the choices of streaming services like Netflix. If it helps you to look faster instead of going through countless automated suggestions, it is more likely that you will return instead of referring to other services.
