The new AMD Navi GPU equipped with a printed circuit board and a data leak GDDR6

AMD to unveil next generation of GPU Navi architecture at Computex 2019 next month, with full unveiling according to my sources at E3 2019. But now, we have our first look at the PCB.

A new ticket on Baidu features a so-called Navi circuit board containing provisions for GDDR6 memory, with 8GB or 16GB of faster VRAM. If the first wave of Navi graphics cards arrives with a 256-bit memory bus and 12-14 Gbps clocks on the GDDR6, then expect a memory bandwidth between 384 and 448 GB / s .

This level of performance, with the improvements under the hood due to the Navi GPU architecture, allows us to wait for what I have already reported – the performance levels of the GeForce RTX 2080. This will make Vega useless (this which is generally the case) and allow AMD to compete again in the high-end market (by acquiring Radeon VII which was never built as a consumer graphics card).

The circuit board shows us that we can expect 2 PCIe 8-pin power connectors that would allow it to use up to 300 W of power, which is not out of the standard for AMD. Most of their high-end cards have consumed energy for generations, but I expect much less energy from Navi, something we'll have to wait for. .
