20th Century Fox (via Walt Disney Studios) released a new trailer for Logan and Walk on the line director James MangoldNew highly anticipated film Ford v Ferrari. The story takes place in the context of the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours in France and follows the American designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon), which is charged by Ford to build a revolutionary car that would allow Ford to challenge Ferrari, with Christian Bale Ken Miles, a courageous and fearless British rider, takes the wheel of the new Ford racing car.
Shelby and Miles were commissioned by Henry Ford II and Lee Iacocca to build a brand new vehicle to defeat Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. A film based on these events has been in preparation for years (in 2013, Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt were going to play for the director Joseph Kosinski), and while Ford v Ferrari Initially scheduled for this summer's release, Fox pushed the film back in the fall to better position it for a series of awards.
It was a smart move. I caught the film at TIFF and it's a wonderful and wonderfully entertaining film from Mangold. It's a racing drama done at an expert level, and if the performances of Bale and Damon do not put the film's place in the Oscar race, the film itself will be. It is also a pleasure for all, and I think it will be a huge box office success when it comes out in theaters. Take your dad – I promise you he will love it, and so will you.
This trailer highlights the fast pace of the film, which is important if we consider that it lasts more than two hours and that it passes quickly though. If you like this trailer, you'll love the movie.
