The new game Call of Duty is already playable despite the absence of the announcement

The Call of Duty game from 2019 has not been announced yet, but some members of the public seem to have already played it. A small number of US athletes have shared images on social networks showing that they are playing this year's game, no matter what it is.

Riley Ridley, Tajae Sharpe and Neal Harry have each posted photos of themselves playing the new shooter at what appears to be an official event, while All Games Delta is offering more. We contacted Activision to verify that it was not an elaborate ruse on the part of American footballers.

The publisher has not yet announced Call of Duty this year. Traditionally, each game in the series is announced in May before its final launch, so we may be two steps away from Activision that raises the lid of this year's game.

We know it's Call of Duty: Infinity Ward, developer of Infinite Warfare, who is working on the upcoming shooter. Infinity Ward also created the Modern Warfare sub-series, as well as Call of Duty: Ghosts. According to some rumors, this year's title is Modern Warfare 4, but this has not been confirmed yet. This corresponds to the developer release cycle that has been established.

Activision, however, confirmed that the 2019 Call of Duty game will feature a single player campaign, although last year's Black Ops 4 removed the traditional narrative mode. Activision has also confirmed that the new game will have a "vast expansive multiplayer world" as well as a "fun cooperative game".
