The PCG GOG showcase is updating its Galaxy client to version 2.0 and its ambitious goal is to integrate all game libraries and friends lists of PCs and consoles in one place pleasantly practical.
GOG Galaxy, in its current form, offers an elegant, optional Steam-based client to buy, browse and launch GOG games. However, its next version 2.0 is designed to create what GOG calls "the all-in-one solution for gamers today."
Its purpose is to allow you to import all your game libraries from a computer and consoles to organize them into one main collection. You will obviously be able to launch your PC games only through the client, but GOG indicates its intention to integrate all major platforms. There is no confirmed list of what this might be, but it seems reasonable to assume the likes of Steam, Origin and Epic Store. In addition, you will have access to all your achievements, past hours and games belonging to all platforms, on PC and on consoles.
As for your friends, who are as scattered as they are on various platforms and storefronts, GOG indicates that his new client will gather all the activities of your gaming circle by displaying the multiplier successes of your friends, the milestones of time game and recently played titles in a single stream of activity.
