The latest firmware update from Nintendo Switch has arrived, but do not get upset. Version 8.1.0 is now available and does not do much. Official release notes have one line.

"General improvements in system stability to enhance the user experience," the report says.

Your switch will probably download the update automatically if you connect it to the Internet. To verify that you have the latest version installed, go to the System Settings menu and look for version 8.1.0. You can also manually trigger the update in the System Settings menu.

In other news from Switch, it was recently announced that production on Switch's supposed new models had begun and that Nintendo had relocated production in China due to the threat of Trump's tariffs. One of the consoles would have more robust specifications, while the other would be a less expensive alternative that may have a different form factor.

Nintendo has not made any announcements regarding the hardware at E3, but the company still had a lot to share. The biggest news of Nintendo at E3 may have been the announcement of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: the breath of nature. In addition, Banjo comes to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
