At CES 2019, Samsung announced the latest versions of the Notebook 9 Notebook Series: the Notebook 9 Pro and the Notebook 9 Pen. Today, the company has revealed that both computers will be available from March 17.
The Notebook 9 Pro is the most radical update of the two: Samsung has eliminated the sloping curves, sparkling angles and painted plastic feel of the previous generation for sharper design, bevelled edges and rays of light. Prices start at $ 1,099 for the base model with a 13-inch 1080p display, an 8th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. Samsung will also offer a $ 1,299 version that doubles RAM and storage space to 16GB and 256GB respectively.
Samsung also has an updated Notebook 9 pen, which retains the same tasteless design as last year's model, but which features an updated S-stylus, more USB-C ports and more a new 15-inch option that joins the 13-inch model in the line up. The 13-inch model will cost $ 1,399, with an 8th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The 15-inch version upgrades RAM up to 16GB. It comes in two configurations: a $ 1,599 model with integrated Intel graphics and a $ 1,799 version with a discrete Nvidia MX150 GPU, which will offer also double the storage with a 1 TB NVMe SSD.
