The new Shazam movie has some strange video game references

This weekend, DC's new superhero movie, Shazam, has been freed. Critics appreciated. I liked it a lot too. Although the action and the jokes are strong in Shazam, there are some strange video game references that have caught me off guard.

To be very clear, I do not have screenshots of most of these videos because the movie just came out. But take me to the word! You can find these things related to the video game in Shazam!

No specific spoilers below, but if you want to be surprised by what games are mentioned, stop now.

  • A kid using a PS3 shooter and a PS3 motion controller as a weapon.
  • Someone pulls lights from their hands and yells "Hadouken !!
  • A scene where Shazam and his friend play Mortal Kombat X.

  • Some hackers referencing all the hours of Watch dogs they played.
  • After a finish, a character shouts "Fatality!" As the advertiser of Deadly fight.
  • A reference to the game PC Uplink of the early 2000s, the same pirate who likes Watch dogs.

Some are obvious and most people will have them immediately. the Deadly fight some, in particular, made my theater laugh. Although I wonder how many people have had the Watch dogs reference. Or the name of the uplink.

In addition, there was a guy in my projection of Shazam who YELLED very strong when the Haudoken scene is produced. Really strong. I even looked back to see if I could see the guy, I assumed he was standing honestly.

I can not help thinking too much Mortal Kombat X scene. Does that mean he Injustice 2 exists in this universe and was the predecessor of this MKX? Shazam is he in this Injustice 2?

I will not think about it anymore.
